Maintain Appointments
Once children grow a little older and gain more independence, it is quite common for appointments to become less regular. Therefore it is not surprising that it is this age group that often requires fillings that are entirely preventable. We recommend everyone having their 6 month dental appointment to check for potential issues and assist in maintaining dental health.

At Warnbro Sound Dental our experienced team are trained to recognise many of the symptoms of oral cancer and will always screen for it during your regular assessments. Early signs can include
- Sores in the mouth or around the oral cavity that won’t heal.
- White or red leathery patches on the lips and developing on or under the tongue.
- Sensitivity, pain and tenderness or numbness in the mouth.
- Difficulty in chewing, swallowing, speaking or moving the jaw.
As many of the early signs are painless, they are regularly ignored. However this can be even more detrimental as when not detected in its early stages, it can often necessitate painful, extensive treatment.
